This latest version of the highly acclaimed GM capo has been designed for maximum ease of use and playing speed.
This diagram shows how putting the clamping bar on top of the strings allows the left hand fourth finger to rest in a natural position behind the leading edge of the capo. This allows playing close to the capo without the fingers muting the strings.
The new GM capo is shaped to fit the profile of the strings and requires no rubber sleeve. The clamping bar is covered with a thin double layer plastic sleeve which prevents sideways slipping of the strings.
Fitting the capo is a simple one-handed operation. Holding the capo with the adjustment screw facing downwards, slide the capo into position with a straight backward motion. A quick turn of the screw is all that is then necessary to secure the capo on the strings.

This capo requires a minimum string height of about 3/8 inch or 10 mm. For lower string heights, the original version of the GM capo is recommended.
